For Rehan Ranpuri, finding fresh halal food dining options was an on-going challenge. As a business owner who had spent most of his career in the retail industry, he was always passionate about the opportunity to pour into other leaders and celebrate their successes. The daily struggle to find fresh halal options eventually led him to the streets of New York where he learned from some of the best halal and street chefs in the United States. After perfecting the protein process, flavors, and recipes, he was ready to bring his bold fusion concept to life.
In November 2019 the first Gyro Republic opened in Sugar Land, TX followed by two more over the next three years. The concept, and more important the flavors, quickly acquired a loyal following that have put the brand on a fast track to success. With whole, fresh ingredients, the concept provides globally-inspired street food with a variety of options including proteins, grains and veggies and most importantly sauces! With four bold sauces made in-house daily, the flavor profiles and combinations are endless.
