Our Mission

For founder Rehan Ranpuri, finding fresh, flavorful halal food wasn’t always easy. After traveling to New York City to learn from some of the country’s most respected halal and street food chefs, he spent years refining recipes and techniques before opening the first Gyro Republic in Sugar Land, Texas in 2019.

What started as a simple idea to serve food that feels good, tastes incredible, and gives people the freedom to make it their own has grown into a brand built around choice, flavor, and hospitality.

Today, every bowl, pita, salad, and Gyrito® is crafted with 100% halal proteins, fresh ingredients, and house-made sauces, inspired by Mediterranean flavors and rooted in American street food culture.
